<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Management Analyst 2 <br />Class Code: <br />656 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$2,265.60 - $3,033.60 Biweekly <br />$4,908.80 - $6,572.80 Monthly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Exempt02 ProfessionalsMultiple Departments <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Performs complex management analysis and coordination activities that have department or countywide <br />scope and impact with significant community involvement, including program research and development, <br />forming and chairing special task forces and committees involving the county and members of the <br />community, and coordinating and administering a variety of special programs. Performs other related <br />duties as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general direction of a department head or his/her designee, with additional <br />recommendations from teams, task forces and committees. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />May provide leadership and direction to clerical or professional staff in relation to special projects or <br />assignments. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Provides complex management analysis and support to a department or countywide, including <br />development and implementation of a program or function; provides management direction; <br />reviews expenditures, staff, purchases and operations. <br />2.Forms and chairs special task forces and committees that include internal and external <br />stakeholders. Works to establish mutual goals and processes to fulfill department directives, <br />goals, and community needs. <br />3.Prepares and administers department and/or task force budgets; analyzes and makes <br />recommendations on budget requests and prepares supportive documentation; monitors and <br />control program budget expenditures and investigates variances; instructs and assists staff in <br />maintaining accounts; audits accounts to ensure compliance. <br />4.Reviews department or countywide office and accounting procedures; recommends changes in <br />procedures and assists in their implementation; develops accounting systems for expenditures and <br />conducts studies of department operations to develop uniform procedures. <br />5.Interprets pertinent laws and governmental and departmental regulations to the public in person <br />and through correspondence; resolves difficult public relations problems. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
