<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Office Manager <br />Class Code: <br />023 <br />Bargaining Unit: 02 - Supervisory <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$2,089.60 - $2,797.60 Biweekly <br />$4,527.47 - $6,061.47 Monthly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Exempt02 ProfessionalsMultiple Departments <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Performs complex technical and/or administrative assignments, which require initiative and independent <br />judgment; provides full supervision over the clerical and/or technical support staff of a division or small <br />department; does other work as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of a higher level administrator or manager who assigns work, <br />establishes goals, and reviews the results obtained for overall effectiveness through the analysis of <br />performance, reports and conferences. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Devotes a clear majority of time exercising full supervision over a department's or large division's clerical <br />and/or technical staff, including evaluation of staffing levels, coordinating work flow and completion of <br />projects, hiring and training, planning, assigning and reviewing work, conducting performance <br />evaluations, and responding to disciplinary issues and grievances. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Responds to clerical and/or technical support needs of a department or division; coordinates and <br />communicates with other supervisors to ensure consistency of administrative/support activities. <br />2.Composes correspondence requiring a high degree of initiative and judgment in communicating <br />with the public, subcontractors, other county departments, and other counties; participates in <br />networks to coordinate office administrative efforts with similar departments in other counties. <br />3.Assists in preparing, or provides input to the annual department/division budget; researches <br />trends, analyzes forecasts, assesses current office needs to provide recommendations on <br />expenditures. <br />4.Attends meetings as required to represent area of responsibility; participates in <br />department/division strategic planning meetings, productivity meetings, and other meetings as <br />required. <br />5.Oversees the timely completion of personnel records (personnel actions, performance evaluations) <br />and time reporting for department/division. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/4/2020 <br /> <br />
