Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />1.Provides training and backup support to other staff as needed; may, at the request of the <br />supervisor, perform the following lead worker assignments: assigns and reviews work, prioritizes <br />assignments for office staff, provides input to performance evaluations, arranges for work <br />coverage during absences. <br />2.Coordinates and monitors implementation of projects or parts of a program; tracks the progress of <br />required actions against time lines; interprets and acts as resource on program policies, <br />procedures, and applicable laws and regulations as required. <br />3.Coordinates and monitors implementation of special projects in consultation with program or office <br />manager. <br />4.Develops methodologies for, and coordinates tracking of progress of, special and assigned <br />projects. <br />5.Monitors and updates computer information and provides detailed reports and statistical data as <br />may be required. <br />6.Suggests and participates in improvements in project plans and delivery for projects assigned to <br />this classification. <br />7.Participates in the technical phases of special studies, surveys, and research projects by compiling <br />and analyzing data, and independently preparing graphic charts, spreadsheets, and other visuals <br />to facilitate comparisons of data or analysis of trends; responsibility for generating periodic <br />technical reports of a complex nature. <br />8.Creates and maintains complex and specialized filing systems, forms, and data. <br />9.Provides administrative or technical clerical support to one or more supervisors/managers. <br />10.Performs related duties as required. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; AND <br />2.Two (2) years of general office experience; including at least one (1) year of experience utilizing a <br />variety of computer software programs; OR <br />3.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience relevant to the <br />position. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENT <br />May be required to pass skills assessment test(s). <br />> <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Considerable knowledge of: accepted office practices, procedures and techniques; business grammar <br />and spelling; math and accounting principles and processes. <br />Some knowledge of: techniques of supervision and training; concepts and techniques of <br />prioritizing/organizing work; applicable program policies and procedures and/or rules, regulations and <br />statutes depending upon assignment of duties and responsibilities. <br />Substantial skill & ability to: independently, accurately and effectively perform assigned tasks and duties <br />following established procedures and program policies; meet and assist the public, staff, clients, and <br />other personnel of other businesses in a courteous, professional manner; comprehend and adhere to <br />stated oral and written instructions, communications and procedures; apply principles, policies and <br />procedures to specific work assignments; provide training to others; facilitate and prioritize work <br />assignments. <br />ADOPTED: <br />07/00 <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/4/2020 <br /> <br />
