<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Support Enforcement <br />Agent 1 <br />Class Code: <br />637 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$21.87 - $29.28 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br /> Non-Exempt 05 ParaprofessionalsDistrict Attorney <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Under general supervision, performs paraprofessional administrative and judicial processing of child <br />support cases; enforces and secures current child support payments and repayments of amounts due. <br />Performs related duties as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of the Legal Assistant Supervisor who outlines assignments, <br />establishes goals, and reviews the results obtained for overall effectiveness through the analysis of <br />reports and meetings. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. <br />DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS <br />This level in the Support Enforcement Agent series performs a variety of support enforcement activities. <br />The Support Enforcement Agent 1 is distinguished from the Support Enforcement Agent 2 by the Support <br />Enforcement Agent 2's management and coordination of the division's information system. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Reviews case information to establish paternity and/or child support orders; interviews custodial <br />and noncustodial parents; identifies obligor's wages and assets; initiates action to obtain income <br />and tax records; testifies at administrative hearings to establish child support orders; drafts routine <br />documents such as petitions, motions, affidavits and correspondence. Codes orders on statewide <br />system. <br />2.Initiates interstate proceedings to establish and enforce support obligations. <br />3.Determines and initiates appropriate administrative enforcement actions including collection <br />through garnishment of wages, income tax refunds, assets and liens placed against property. <br />4.Registers out of state cases for legal enforcement; conducts paternity testing; determines obligor's <br />wages, assets, and ability to pay. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/4/2020 <br /> <br />
