Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />10.Assists in hardware and software updates, installation and maintenance with IT and outside <br />vendor(s). <br />11.Acts as back up to Deputy County Clerk positions, performing duties of that class as needed, <br />including recording legal documents. <br />12.Other duties and projects as required for Recording and Licensing, Elections, Board of Property <br />Tax Appeals and Clerk Administration. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Graduation from high school supplemented by college course work; AND <br />2.Four (4) years experience in either micrographics, archives, records management, or a County <br />recording office, (Preferably including experience as a lead worker or coordinator.); OR <br />3.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the <br />position. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENT <br />Possess, or obtain within 30 days of hire, a valid class C Oregon driver's license. Must maintain <br />> <br />an acceptable driving record. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY <br />Knowledge of: Oregon Laws and Administrative Rules as they pertain to a recording office, archives, <br />records management, micrographics, and electronic data storage; the standards regarding creation and <br />preservation of archival quality microfilm; micrographic and photographic equipment; techniques of <br />supervision and training; concepts and techniques of prioritizing/organizing work. <br />Skill and ability to: analyze records and agency operations; operate micrographic and photographic <br />equipment; knowledge of data processing equipment and procedures; communicate effectively in both <br />oral and written form; keyboarding and data entry; operating a computer; organize projects in <br />conformance with time schedules; follow complex written and oral instructions; train and coordinate the <br />workload of clerical and technical employees; give and prioritize work assignments; independently, <br />accurately, and effectively perform assigned tasks and duties; use tact, judgment and courtesy in service <br />the public; establish and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships with co-workers, <br />the public, other County departments, and other agencies; operate a motor vehicle. <br />ADOPTED: <br />04/78 <br />REVISED: <br />10/80; 02/81; 01/82; Retitled 02/89; 05/96; 03/98; 09/08 <br />MARKET REVIEW: <br />09/08; 08/13; 08/20 <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID...9/22/2020 <br />
