Thank you for the image. This property
had been proposed for development approximately 15 to 20 years ago. I don't recall all of the
development challenges. Possibly the biggest challenge is that secondary street access, stormwater, and
wastewater service has to come from the south through a neighboring property. I believe water supply is
limited and may require construction of a reservoir or pump station or both.
In other words, the property is not readily developable today, but may become developable if the
Dorchester Properties parcels develop immediately to the south (which I don't believe is happening any
time soon). Let me know if you have any other questions, and thank you for your patience.
Glenn Davis, PE,CFM
Chief Development Engineer
Floodplain Administrator
City of Salem I Public Works Department
555 Liberty St SE,Suite 325,Salem,OR 97301-3513
gdavis@citvofsalem.net 503-588-6211(Office) 1503-385-7685(Cell)
Facebook I Twitter YouTube I Cityofsalem.net
From: noreply@cityofsalem.net<noreply@cityofsalem.net>On Behalf Of shatfield@co.marion.or.us
Sent:Wednesday, November 18, 2020 10:12 AM
To: Glenn Davis<GDAVIS@cityofsalem.net>
Subject:Contact Glenn Davis
Your Steph Hatfield
Name
L.. He states that they put water lines in,
Message however there is no storage tank,so the water lines have been reversed their flow to provide
water to an industrial area. Could you please tell me if the owners are able to subdivide this
property and have adequate water to support that?Thank you
file:///C:/L lsers/SHatficld/AppData/Local/Tcmp/XPgrpw isc/S FB CC662G W M2M-ASR 11... 11/30/2020
