<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Administrative <br />Assistant <br />Class Code: <br />025 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$21.28 - $28.51 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br /> Non-Exempt 06 Administrative SupportMultiple Departments <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Perform technical and/or administrative assignments of a department or agency-wide scope. <br />This classification encompasses positions in large, multi-program/division departments, in <br />which the position devotes the majority of time as a liaison with Finance and Human <br />Resources, managing time reporting and accounting for a variety of shift work. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Work under the general supervision of a manager or supervisor who assigns work, <br />establishes goals, and reviews the results obtained for overall effectiveness through the <br />analysis of performance, reports and conferences. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />May provide lead direction to employees performing clerical support duties. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Act as liaison between the department and Human Resources; act as resource to <br />department staff on administrative issues, including personnel actions and compliance <br />with county policies and procedures. <br />2.Responsible for time entry, including reviewing and correcting time reporting errors, <br />applying staff time to appropriate budget/project numbers, and distributing paystubs. <br />3.Act as, or serve as backup, department liaison with Financial Services regarding <br />Accounts Payable policy and procedures; processes department purchase orders. <br />4.Receive, review and process department invoices; researches and resolves problems; <br />assures compliance with county policy; department liaison with vendors in researching <br />purchase options; insures appropriate paperwork is completed, in compliance with <br />contracts. <br />5.Compose correspondence requiring a high degree of initiative and judgment in <br />communicating with the public, contractors, other county departments, and other <br />http://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID...3/10/2021 <br /> <br />
