Less common (but found from time to time) —Indicative of 1 - 10% (Minor) less common percentage of the dust composition;however,can be found on surfaces from time to time due to combustion sources other than wildfires. Common—Indicative of a common background percentage of < 1%(Trace or ND) the dust composition, typical of recently cleaned surfaces or absence of a significant wildfire impact. Observations and Sampling Results Sensory Observations During FACS investigation of the property, the following findings were generated: Exterior • No observable smoke odor was present. • No indications of wildfire smoke impact identified (e.g., smoke related particulate, staining). • The exterior contents were covered with snow so they could not be adequately inspected at the time of the assessment. • Moderate dust deposition was observed on exterior window sills as well as fixtures, including window ledges, and panes. • Unusual corrosion of metal or other materials that could be directly attributed to a fire event was not observed. Interior Living Spaces-Surfaces located adjacent to exterior entry points (<5 ft away from windows or exterior doors) • No observable smoke odor was present. • Visible smoke related particulate and black staining identified on curtains at the kitchen door. • No other indications of wildfire smoke impact identified. • Light to moderate dust deposition was observed on surfaces. • Unusual corrosion of metal or other materials that could be directly attributed to a fire event was not observed. Interior Living Spaces-Further from exterior entry points(> 5ft away from windows or exterior doors) • No observable smoke odor was present. • No indications of wildfire smoke impact identified (e.g., smoke related particulate, staining). • Light to moderate dust deposition was observed on surfaces. • Generally good housekeeping practices were identified. • Unusual corrosion of metal or other materials that could be directly attributed to a fire and smoke event was not observed. www.forensicanalylical.com Forensic Analytical Consulting Services
