BOUNDARY SURVEY <br />NARRATIVE <br />This survey <br />was made to identify the location and place monuments where they were missing for the boundary of <br />FOR <br />certain <br />tracts of land described in Reel 1491, Page 722 of Marion County Deed Records for fence construction. The <br />OREGON <br />DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONSdeed <br />is <br />described in multiple parcels that parallel the south line of Lot 4 and 5 of Marion Gardens Subdivision or <br />in <br />the SW 1/ 4 and NW 1 /4 of SECTION 30, <br />parallel <br />the west line of Lot 5 in most cases, and parallel with the north line of Lot 5 in other cases. <br />and <br />SE 1 /4 of SECTION 25 T. 7 S., R. 2 W., W.M. <br />In1911, <br />the subdivision of Marion Gardens was created, but does not indicate what was set for monuments. I found a <br />.6, <br />MARION COUNTY, OREGON <br />1, Iron <br />Rod at the southwest corner of Lot 5, that has been accepted through the years as a Lot corner. In 1927, <br />JANUARY 4, 2023 <br />Hugh Fisher <br />set monuments in Lots 5 and 6 of Marion Gardens, further dividing the existing lots. I was able to <br />recover <br />multiple of Fisher's monuments and have held these monuments as well as the southwest corner of Lot 5. <br />LEGEND <br />For the <br />south line of Lot 4, 1 have held the bearing from the south line of Lot 5 and extend to Interstate 5. Fisher shows a pipe being located at this corner. I was <br />able to locate Fisher's pipe to the east and held his record distance for establishment. This fits within reasonable <br />tolerance for the time to Fisher's other pipe at the northeast corner. t.92 <br />Since the Fisher and Bates monument was missing at our southeast corner, the east line was calculated by holding Fisher's and Bates's record distance from the southwest corner of Lot 5. Comparing this southeast corner with 5 CYCLONE <br />Fisher's measurements, once again it is in reasonable tolerance for the time. This line also runs through the Bates <br />monument to the north. <br />The right-of-way for 1-5 was established by holding the brass bisk near the southwest corner and rotating to the <br />Shull monument at the northwest corner. This solution matches well with the existing ODOT monuments, with one <br />exception. The ODOT monument at station 311+55.07, the ODOT map notes a different stationing; this has been <br />noted on Shull's prior survey. When comparing coordinates given from Bissell's survey, they match my <br />measurements and Shull's measurements. This leads me to believe that the stationing given on Bissell's survey is <br />incorrect. <br />The east line was marked by using wooden lath setting along the line.
