To: Marino Vasquez
From: Robert Goodwin, REHS; Aidan Bammes EHST
RE: Alteration Permit at 9929 Crosby Rd NE
July 19, 2021
Page 2
Additionally, it appears that a historical property line bisects the'property (see dashed
line on site plan). Based on the submitted site plan, it appears the dwelling and the
septic system will not be on the same property, and the septic system itself may cross
the property line. Additional action will be required including one of the following
options:
1. If you believe that the dashed line is not a real property line, please submit'
evidence to this office that the line was legally abandoned. This may be clarified
in deed records, or you may be able to obtain this information from Marion
County Planning, if the historical property line was removed via the planning
process.
2. Enter into a "same owner easement". Septic systems and the dwelling they serve
must be located on the same property. To legally cross a property line, an
easement and covenant must be executed and recorded in the county land title
records on a form approved by DEQ. The form must be filled out, reviewed by
this office, notarized and recorded at the Marion County Clerk's office prior to
permit issuance. Please see attached one party easement form and instructions.
3. Legally combine the lots. If you wish to legally combine the lots, contact Marion
County Planning to begin this process.
Where to go from here:
Submit a detailed plot plan for the proposed systems, initial and repair.
Submit a materials list for the proposed initial system.
Stake out both systems on the property.
Ensure that the historical property line has been resolved as described above.
This is not a permit, a permit will be issued when all required
information has been submitted and approved
Sincerely,
Y
Aidan Bammes
Marion County Onsite Wastewater Specialist
503-365-3165
5155 Silverton Road NE*Salem,OR 97305-3802• www.co.marion.or.us
Printed on recycled paper• Reduce—Reuse—Recycle-Recover
