SEWER & DRAIN .
r
The flow data and calculations are a snap shot from one week but is consistent with the 2019 &
2020 average gallons per day listed on the permit document.
If the design peak flow is 1,478 gpd and the permit shows the existing dosing tank to have 1,426
gallons of surge capacity, you could double the existing flow from 1 gallon per person to 2
gallons per person and using the Sunday attendance number of 1272 people x 2 gallons per
person, would equal a proposed 2,544 gallons on Sunday which would be within the Peak
design flow of 1,478 gpd by using 1,066 gallons of the 1,426 gallons of surge capacity. This
equation is just an exercise to show that doubling the flow would remain within the design
parameters of the system but it is not expected that the use of this facility will increase the
numbers by that much.
The actual increase to the proposed addition of approx.300 people, using our average of 1
gallon per person would be closer to a 300 gallon per week increase if used at full capacity
once a week. Even if used at full capacity twice weekly, we are looking at a 600 gallon increase
per week.
It appears that the original system should be able to handle the minimal increase in flow. If there
are any flow increase concerns,we could change the permit requirement from recommending
a 0 &M contract, to requiring one.
Thank you for your consideration on this matter and feel free to call or email with any questions.
2034
#GN'I4i49i
Oregon Sewer & Drain LLC
503.874.9414 Office
503.302.0833 Cell
