Re: septic for 12233 Secluded place.
Kimberlee Aldrich <KAldrich@co.marion.or.us>
Thu 7/18/2024 8:49 AM
To:Scott Cach <cachs2323@gmail.com>;Brandon Reich <BREICH@co.marion.or.us>
Cc:Eric Jensen <timbercrafthomes@yahoo.com>;ap@timbercrafthomes.net <ap@timbercrafthomes.net>;Cyndee Tate
<CTate@co.marion.or.us>;Danielle Brown <DBrown@co.marion.or.us>;Matt Knudsen <MKnudsen@co.marion.or.us>;John
Speckman <JSpeckman@co.marion.or.us>;Janelle Cach <janelle.cach@gmail.com>
Good Morning Scott,
So of all of those documents that you sent, the only one that appears to deal with septic is my email, where I
stated that I believed that you have an approval on the property, which after further investigation it was
determined that was additional information would be needed. The map labeled parcel 1,2 and 3, was used for
planning and survey for PLA 23-008, which was a property line adjustment, and the other map is for Partition Plat
2024-4, neither of these actions are septic actions.
So I believe a site evaluation was done for 4 test pits, 2 on 1 side of the property, 2 on the other side, however
there was just 1 site evaluation application and that was for the Eastern property(now 12253) and an application
for an Existing System Evaluation was taken out for the Western side of the property(now 12233)to evaluate the
septic system that ended up on the Eastern property(12253) and would serve the Western property(12233), an
easement was not done and it appears that the system was used to serve the home on the Eastern
property(12253), which left the Western property(12233)with out a system or an approved area.
Option (1)
Since the 4 pits were all under 1 application, a new application(fees will be waived except for the DEQ Fee) will
need to be taken out for the the Western property(12233), and based on soils notes for pit 1 and 2, if you are able
to show a document that was previously submitted to the county with actual distances to pit 1 and 2, so you can
find that area, this office will honor an ATT install with a total of 150 linear ft if gravelless absorption drainfield for
the initial system, and 150 linear ft of gravelless absorption drainfield for the repair area. The trench depth will
be no greater than 12 inches into native soil, and a capping fill cover will be required. You will need to hire a
certified and licensed septic installer to install this septic system per OAR 340-072 and it would be in your best
interest to bring them into the planning process as soon as possible to help you understand the process and
terminology as I am unable to act as a consultant, just an inspector.
Option (2)
You can turn in an application for a site evaluation,(the fees will be waived except for the DEQ fee) and dig new
pits where ever you want to dig pits on the property and this office will evaluate them and then set minimum
requirements.
Please let me know which option you are choosing, and I have you on the schedule for a site visit for July 25th,
2024 at 11:30 am
Sincerely
Kim Aldrich EH-W10147892
Marion County Onsite Septic Inspector
From: Scott Cach <cachs2323@gmail.com>
Sent: Wednesday,July 17, 2024 1:13 PM
To: Kimberlee Aldrich <KAldrich@co.marion.or.us>
Cc: Eric Jensen <timbercrafthomes@yahoo.com>; ap@timbercrafthomes.net<ap@timbercrafthomes.net>;
