After removal of the existing roof membrane, Contractor shall inspect the existing deck for structural weakness, deterior'ation~ and other deficiencies which must be corrected prior to the new roof application. No new insulation or roofing will be applied until the existing deck is inspected and approved by the Quality Controller and/or the School District. be Any deteriorated or damaged decking shall be brought to the attention of the School District. Replacement shall be at the disgression of the School District with any necessary replacement costs to be born by the District. Commencement of roofing application ouer any section will denote acceptability by the Contractor of that section and he will be responsible for any corrective work which may be occasioned by his having started over an unsatisfactory surface~ All surfaces shall be cleaned of debris and of any moisture before proceeding with application of the new roofing materials. 3.82 Roof Installation A. Apply sheathing paper over the cleared and swept wood deck in the following manner: Over the entire surfacer lay one ply of sheathing paper, lapping each sheet at least two inches over the preceding sheet. Nail sufficiently to hold in place.
