Bernard T. Ripp
5332 70th Ave, S.
Salem, Or 97301
April 15, 1980

M~. Roland Withrow
Marion County Zoning Dept.
220 High Street, N. E.
Salem, Oregon 97301

Dear Mr. Withrow:

Re: Dennis J. Folsom
301

This letter is regard to the pending sale of property
by M~. Folsom. I am concerned, as my neighbors are too,
about Mw. Folsom's representation of his property as
being more than just a farm. This area is zoned g~f
however, Mw. Folsom has been operating a business$ the
business being a place for breeding, training, buying
and selling of horses. We feel this is in violation
of the zoning.

In 1974 a petition was circulated in order to prevent
a business of this type to operate in this area. We
now feel threatened again by what the prospective
buyers will put this property to future use.

The real estate firm of Ted Morrison Real Estate,
Gladys Blum, salesperson, has the listing of this
property.

South,

The subject and his enstranged wife, Holly Folsom, are
presently involved in divorce proceedings. The Judge
just recently ordered Mr. Folsom to satisfy a debt with
Holly Folsom by either borrowing money or selling this
property. The first hearing before the judge occurred
on December 28, 1979.

It would be very much appreciated if you will look into
this matter in order to prevent a potential distressful
incident to the neighborhood.
