(~03(a)) <br /> <br />The storage and handling of flammable or combustible liquids shall be in <br />accordan¢~ with Article 79 of the ~ire cod~ and Section 45.208. (UFG <br />45.208(a)) <br /> <br />All spray booths or spray rooms shall be protected by an approved <br />automatic fire-extinguishing system. Space within the spray booth on <br />the downstream and upstream sides of filters shall be protected with <br />approved automatic sprinklers. (UFC 45.209(a)) <br /> <br />The interior surfaoee of spray booth shall be smooth and continuous <br />without edges and otherwise designed to prevent pocketing of residue, to <br />permit the free passage of exhaust air from all parts of the interior <br />and to facilitate washing and cleaning without injury. (U~C 45.203(c)) <br /> <br />The floor shall be of noncombustible material or shall be covered with a <br />noncombustible, nonsparking material of such character to facilitate th~ <br />safe cleaning and removal of residue. (UFC 45.203(d)) <br /> <br />If installed, baffle plates shall be of a noncombustible material <br />readily removable or accessible to facilitate cleaning and designed to <br />provide an even flow of air through the booth and to prevent the deposit <br />of overspray before it enters the exhaust duct. Such plates shall not <br />be in,tailed in the exhaust ducts. {UFC 45.~03(e)) <br /> <br />Each spray booth shall be separated from other operations by not less <br />than 3 feet or by a wall or partition or by a greater distance as the <br />fire chief may require.
