SAND FILTER SYSTEM CONSTHUCTIGN DETAIL SHEET August 27, 1992 APPLICANT~ SITE NUMBER~ NEAL NITTINGER C/O SANI-TECE 13626 REPLACEMENT SYSTEM Your site has been found suitable for a SAND FILTER ALTERNATIVE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM. The following construction specifications shall apply to the installation of your septic system. 1. The septic tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity of 1000 gallons. 2. The projected daily sewage flow for this project is calculated at 300 qallons per day. Sased on soil conditions observed on this site, the disposal field will be sized at 30 lineal feet per gallons of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum of 60 lineal feet of disposal field will be required for your proposed develop- ment. The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with no line exceeding 125 feet in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed level (±1") and contoured to follow the natural ground surface. 3. The disposal field shall be constructed with serial distribution with a minimum trench depth of 42 inches and a maximum trench depth of 42 inches. There must be at least 12 inches Of backfill over the top of the gravel, measured from the natural ground surface. Thirty (30) inches drainrock is required with twenty-four (24) inches of rock below the drainline pipe. 4. The sand filter system shall be designed and operated as per OAR 340-71-290 through 340-71-305. Detailed plans for the system must be submitted prior to permit issuance. A building permit is required if a site built concrete box is used as the sand filter container. A pamphlet is available in our office which details the requirements for a sand filter system. An effluent lift pump may be necessary to construct the disposal field in the approved area and at the correct depth. This approval is site specific to the area tested and the septic system must be located in the immediate area of the test pits unless otherwise autho- rized by this office. A new site evaluation may be required if the system is proposed for a different area on the property. SPECIAL CONDITIONS: The drainfield lines must be located as currently field staked for location and as outlined by the enclose plot plan. THIS KS NOT A PERMIT TO INSTALL THE SEPTIC SYSTEM. DO NOT INS~n?.?. THE SYSTEM UNTIL A VALID PERMIT HAS EEEN ISSUED BY THIS OFFICE.
