(3206(a)) For requirements on <br />smoke and heat venting in buildings with high-piled combustible stock, <br />see the Fire Code. <br /> <br />Equipment or machinery which generate or emit combustible or explosive <br />dust or fibers shall be provided with an adequate dust collection and <br />exhaust system installed in compliance with UBC Standard No. 9-3. Sec. <br />908. <br /> <br />The maximum distance of travel from any point to an exterior exit door <br />in a building equipped with an automatic sprinkler system throughout <br />shall not exceed 200 feet. (3303(d)) Exit doors shall be pivoted or <br />side-hinged swinging type. (3304(b)) <br /> <br />Exit doors shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or <br />any special knowledge or effort. Manually operated edge or surface <br />bolts are prohibited. (3304(c)) <br /> <br />Exit signs shall be provided at every required exit doorway and wherever <br />otherwise required to clearly indicate the direction of egress when the <br />exit serves an occupant load of $0 or more. <br /> <br />A water supply sufficient to control a potential fire is required. <br />Appendix III-A of the Uniform Fire Code. Contact the local fire <br />department for requirements. The chief shall establish the minimum <br />residual pressure and flow duration when determining fire flow. <br /> <br />See <br /> <br />Portable fire extinguishers shall be provided and installed as required <br />by applicable standards and as directed by the authority having <br />jurisdiction. NO. 10-1) <br /> <br />The plans for the required automatic sprinkler system are to be <br />submitted to Marion County Building Inspection for plan review and <br />approval prior to installation. <br /> <br />The number of sanitary fixtures provided shall be as required by Section <br />510 and Table NO. 5-E of the code. <br /> <br />The mechanical plans have not been submitted and are not covered by this <br />review. Mechanical systems, when installed, are required to be in <br />compliance with applicable codes. <br /> <br />The roof covering shall be a Class A, Class B or Class C roofing. The <br />roof-covering assembly includes the roof deck, underlayment, <br />interlayment, insulation and covering which is assigned a roof-covering <br />classification, sec. 3203. <br /> <br />Potential accumulations of snow at valleyst parapets, roof structures <br />and offsets in roofs of uneven configuration shall be considered in <br />accordance with Appendix Chapter 23, Division I, Alternate Snow Load <br />Design.
