(UFC 10.208) <br /> <br />The grade away from foundation walls shall fall a minimum of 6 in. <br />within the first 10 ft., except as restricted by lot lines where the <br />fall will be a minimum of 6 in. regardless of the horizontal distance <br />available. (R-301.3) <br /> <br />5uilding drains passing under footing or passing through foundation wall <br />shall be in a pipe sleeve two pipe sizes larger than the largest pipe <br />passing through. <br /> <br /> Fi~estopping shall be provided in the following locations: <br />A) In concealed spaces of stud walls, including furred spaces, at the <br /> ceiling and floor level; <br />B) At all interconnections between concealed vertical and horizontal <br /> spaces such as occur at soffits, drop ceilings etc.; <br />C) In concealed spaces between stair stringers at the top and bottom <br /> of the run; <br />D) At openings around vents, pipes ducts, chimneys and fireplaces at <br /> ceiling and floor level, with noncombustible materials. (R-402.7) <br /> <br />~very sleeping room shall have at least one operable window approved for <br />emergency egress or rescue. The window sill height shall not be more <br />than 44 inches above the floor. The minimum net clear opening width <br />dimension shall be 20 inches. The minimum net opening height shall be <br />24 inches. The minimum net clear opening area shall be at least 5.7 <br />square feet. (R-210.2) <br /> <br />The garage shall be completely separated from the residence and its <br />attic area by means of 1/2-inch gypsum board or equivalent applied to <br />the garage side. The door between the garage and residence shall be <br />equipped with solid wood doors not less than I 3/8 inches in thickness <br />or equivalent. (R-209.2) <br /> <br />A minimum 3-foot by 3-foot landing shall be ruquired on each side of an <br />egress door. The floor Or landing shall not !lc more than 1-1/2 inches <br />lower than the top of the threshold. The lan.ling at the exterior of an <br />exterior doorway shall not be more than 8 1/2 inches below the top of <br />the threshold. (R-212} <br /> <br />Appliances generating a glow, spark or flame and all electrical outlets <br />installed in a garage shall be elevated 18 inches above the floor. <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
