(M-1114 & NEC Article 500) <br /> <br />Smoke detectors shall be installed outside of each separate sleeping <br />area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms and on each additional <br />story of the dwelling. Ail detectors shall be connected to a sounding <br />device or other detectors to provider when actuated, an alarm which will <br />be audible in all sleeping areas. (R-215.1) <br /> <br />Provide screened attic vents with a net free area of 1/150 of the attic <br />area (or 1/300 ~f half is along eaves and the other half in the upper <br />portion). (R-707) <br /> <br />A readily accessible attic access shall be provided to any attic area <br />having a clear height of over 30 inches. A framed opening not less than <br />22 in. by 30 in. is required. (R-708) <br /> <br />Foundation plates shall be bolted to the foundation with minimum <br />1/2 inch diameter by l0 inch anchor bolts embedded at least 7 inches <br />into concrete or reinforced masonry and spaced act more than 6 feet <br />apart with a minimum of 2 bolts per piece with one bolt within 12 inches <br />of the end of each piece. Figure (R-303) <br /> <br />Joists under bearing partitions shall be doubled or a beam of equivalent <br />size shall be provided. Factory built chimneys and venting <br />systems shall conform to the conditions of their listing and the <br />manufacturer's instructions. U~0.54; wall insulation R~21; underfloor <br />insulation R-25; flat ceilings R=38; vaulted ceilings R=30; skylight <br />class U=0.50; basement walls R-21; slab floor edge insulation R-15; <br />forced air duct insulation R=8. <br /> <br />Approval as a result Of this plan review or an inspection shall not be <br />construed to be an approval of a violation of the provisions of the dwelling <br />coda or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction. Reviews or inspections <br />presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the <br />dwelling code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction shall not be valid. <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
