Boiler Room -

Must have one-hour .occupancy separation
from all other uses in building
Due to proximity, accessory building at north
is considered a part of main building
North, south, and west walls of boiler room must
be upgraded to one-hour construction
The ceiling of the boiler room must p~ovide
one-hour fire resistive construction (1-1/8" ply-
wood decking above conforms - add 5/8" type X
gypboard on stripping to ceiling)
The east wall building column must be one-hour
protected
The sliding door and mandoor in the south wall
must be replaced with 60 minute rated assemblies
An additional exit must be provided from the
boiler room, preferably directly to the exterior
The opening with ladder in the northwest corner
must be closed (one-hour assembly)

D.) Occupancy Separation - See above per boiler room
- Given the circumstances the building is already
constructed, the west wall of the metal build-
ing will not require upgrading to one-hour
construction except at the boiler room

Exiting

- Overall building exiting should be reviewed for
Code compliance

As we noted earlier, we have not yet attempted to solve the above
issues. We have enclosed schematic sketches showing major items
required.

After reviewing this information, please let us know your thoughts so
we can proceed with required design work.

WRP/mam

CC: ~arion County (Don Woodley) W/enclosure
City of Aurora (Richard Johnson) W/enclosure
