Plans have been reviewed for compliance with the provieions of the <br />O~egon State Structural Specialty Code ('91 USC} 1993 ~diticn. <br /> <br />Approved numbers or addressee shall be provided for all new buildings in <br />euch a position as to be plainly visible and legible from the street or <br />road fronting the property. (513} (UFC 10.301) (ORD 774) <br /> <br />Walls and floors separating dwelling units in the same building shall be <br />of not less than one-hour fire-resistive conetruction. (1202(b)) <br /> <br />Draft stops shall be installed in the attics, mansards, overhangs, false <br />fronts eet out from walls and similar concealed spaces of apartments and <br />motels. Such draft stops shall be above and in line with walls <br />separating individual dwelling units and guest rooms from each other and <br />from other uses. (2516(f)4B(ii)) <br /> <br />Sleeping roome require at least one operable exterior window or door <br />approved for emergency escape or rescue and providing a net clear <br />opening of not less than 5.7 sq. ft. The minimum net clear opening <br />height dimension ehall be 24 inches. The minimum net clear width <br />dimension shall be 20 inches. When windows are provided as a means of <br />escape or rescue, they shall have a finished sill height of not more <br />than 44 inches above the floor. (1204) <br /> <br />Exit doors shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or <br />any special knowledge or effort. Manually operated edge or surface <br />bolts are prohibited. (3304(c)) <br /> <br />The rise of every step in a stairway shall be not less than 4 inches nor <br />greater than 7 inches.
