980 cleveland, Aumsville <br />93-03252 (50055) <br />October 13, 1993 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />.Marion County' <br /> OREGON <br />COMML)N[T¥ <br /> D[?ARTMENT <br /> <br /> Building Inspection - D~elling Plan Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the State of Oregon <br />1990 Edition One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code. <br /> <br />A copy of approved plans shall be kept on the s~te of the building or <br />work at the time of inspection. (R-ii1.2) <br /> <br />Basement walls, foundation walls, and other vertical concrete exposed to <br />the weather shall have a minimum specified compressive strength of <br />3000 psi. Porches, carport slabs, garage floor slabs and steps exposed <br />to the weather shall have a minimum specified compressive strength of <br />3500 psi. Table No. (R-302.2) <br /> <br />The grade away from foundation walls shall fall a minimum of 6 in. <br />within the first 10 ft., except as restricted by lot lines where ~he <br />fall will be a minimum of 6 in. regardless of the horizontal distance <br />available. <br /> <br />Footings sections= 12 in. wide - 1 story; 15 in.- 2 story, 18 in. 3 <br />story. Footings shall extend not less than 12 in. below the finish <br />natural grade. (R-303) <br /> <br />Foundation walls shall extend at least 8 in. above the finished grade to <br />the foundation at all points. (R-304.2) (6 in. where pressure treated <br />sill plates are used.) <br /> <br />The foundation and its structural elements shall be capable of <br />accommodating all superimposed live, dead and other loads according to <br />Section R-201 and all lateral loads in accordance with the provisions of <br />the Code and accepted engineering design practice. (R-301.2) <br /> <br />A keyway in the footing is an acceptable method and will transfer the <br />lateral loads, provide a 18 inch long No. 3 dowels extending 12 inches <br />from the footing into the wall, 4 feet on center or the footing and <br />etemwal~ i~ o~e pour {mono~ithically). <br /> <br />Foundation plates shall be bolted to the foundation with minimum <br />1/2 inch diameter by 10 inch anchor bolts embedded at least 7 inches <br />into concrete or reinforced masonry and spaced not more than 6 feet <br />apart with a minimum of 2 bolts per piece with one bolt within 12 inches <br />of the end o£ each piece. Figure (R-303) <br /> <br />Provide an access crawl hole to the underfloor space. The minimum size <br />opening required is 18 inches by 24 inches.
