(R-111.2) <br /> <br />The grade away from foundation walls shall fall a minimum of 6 in. <br />within the first 10 ft., except as restricted by lot lines where the <br />fall will be a minimum of 6 in. regardless of the horizontal distance <br />available. (R-301.3) <br /> <br />When reinforcement is located in the footing in the proximity of the <br />electrical service panel, one piece of the reinforcement shall ex~end a <br />minimum of 1' above the plate to act as a grounding electrode for the <br />panel. If a piece is bent and tied, it must be tied (MINIMUM 1' LAP) to <br />a minimum 20' long section of reinforcement in the footing or wall. <br />Contact the Electrical Inspector with questions. (NEC Article 250- <br />Si(c)) <br /> <br />A keyway in the footing is an acceptable method and will transfer the <br />lateral loads, OR provide a 18 inch long NO. 3 dowels extending 12 <br />inches from the footing into the wall, 4 feet on center, OR pour the <br />footing and stemwall at one time (monolithically). All wood left <br />permanently in contact with the foundation shall be FOUNDATION GRADE <br />WITH nT.?. CUT ENDS AND/OR SIDES T~EATED with an approved wood <br />preservative. (R-310) <br /> <br />This foundation is being reviewed assuming 4 feet of unbalanced fill or <br />less. If the actual height of fill will be more than 4 feet, then an <br />ADDENDUM to this plan review shall be made by the permit holder, by <br />submitting to this office revised foundation plans showing the true fill <br />height befo~ construction commences. <br /> <br />Every sleeping room shall have at least one operable window approved for <br />emergency egress or rescue. The window sill height shall not be more <br />than 44 inches above the floor. The minimum net clear opening width <br />dimension shall be 20 inches. The minimum net opening height shall be <br />24 inches. The minimum net clear opening area shall be at least 5.7 <br />square feet. (R-210.2) <br /> <br />Individual glazed areas in hazardous locations shall pass the test <br />(CPSC 16-CFR) requirements of Section R-208.3 (safety glazing). <br />Hazardous locations are considered as follows: <br />a.
