The following construction cpecifications to the installation of your septic system. ALTERNATIVE shall apply The ceptic tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity of 1000 gallons. The projected daily sewage flow for this project is calculated at 450 ~allons per day. Sased on soil conditions obcerved on this site, the disposal field will be sized at 150 lineal feet p~r 150 galloDc of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum of 450 lineal feet of dicposal field will be required for your proposed develop- ment. The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with no line exceeding 125 feet in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed level (±1") and contoured to follow the natural ground surface. The disposal field shall be constructed with equal distribution with a minimum trench depth of 18 inches and a maximum trench depth of ~2 inches. There muct be at least 6inches of backfill over the top of the gravel, measured from the natural ground surface. Field collection tile shall be rigid, smooth walled perforated pipe with a four (4) inch minimum diameter. The tile shall be installed with a minimum depth of thirty-six (36) inches and with a uniform grade of 0.2 to 0.4 feet per 100 feet. Maximum tile spacing shall be 70 feet, center to center, with a minimum 20 foot setback from the disposal trenches. The collection tile shall be enveloped in clean filter material (drain rock) to within twelve (12) inches of the ground surface. The filter material shall be covered with filter fabric, treated building paper or other non- degradable material. A silt trap with a minimum diameter of 30 inches shall be installed between the collection cyStem and the outlet pipe. The trap shall have a 12 inch sump below the invert of the outlet. The outlet pipe shall be smooth walled solid pipe with a minimum four (4) inch diameter. That portion of the outlet which daylights shall be constructed Of a heavier pipe (Sch. 40 or better) with a flap gate Or screen to exclude rodents. The outfall shall be set to avoid backflow into the pipe. This approval is site specific to the area teated and the septic system must be located in the immediate area of the test pits unless otherwise autho- rized by this office. A new site evaluation may be required if the system is proposed for a different area on the property. SPECIAL CONDITIONS: An easement will be required for the outfall pipe of the tile dewatering system.
