The following construction cpecifications <br />to the installation of your septic system. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVE <br />shall apply <br /> <br />The ceptic tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity of 1000 <br />gallons. <br /> <br />The projected daily sewage flow for this project is calculated at <br />450 ~allons per day. Sased on soil conditions obcerved on this <br />site, the disposal field will be sized at 150 lineal feet p~r 150 <br />galloDc of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum of 450 lineal <br />feet of dicposal field will be required for your proposed develop- <br />ment. The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and <br />on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with no line exceeding 125 <br />feet in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed <br />level (±1") and contoured to follow the natural ground surface. <br /> <br />The disposal field shall be constructed with equal distribution <br />with a minimum trench depth of 18 inches and a maximum trench <br />depth of ~2 inches. There muct be at least 6inches of backfill <br />over the top of the gravel, measured from the natural ground <br />surface. <br /> <br />Field collection tile shall be rigid, smooth walled perforated <br />pipe with a four (4) inch minimum diameter. The tile shall be <br />installed with a minimum depth of thirty-six (36) inches and with <br />a uniform grade of 0.2 to 0.4 feet per 100 feet. Maximum tile <br />spacing shall be 70 feet, center to center, with a minimum 20 foot <br />setback from the disposal trenches. The collection tile shall be <br />enveloped in clean filter material (drain rock) to within twelve <br />(12) inches of the ground surface. The filter material shall be <br />covered with filter fabric, treated building paper or other non- <br />degradable material. A silt trap with a minimum diameter of 30 <br />inches shall be installed between the collection cyStem and the <br />outlet pipe. The trap shall have a 12 inch sump below the invert <br />of the outlet. The outlet pipe shall be smooth walled solid pipe <br />with a minimum four (4) inch diameter. That portion of the outlet <br />which daylights shall be constructed Of a heavier pipe (Sch. 40 or <br />better) with a flap gate Or screen to exclude rodents. The outfall <br />shall be set to avoid backflow into the pipe. <br /> <br /> This approval is site specific to the area teated and the septic system <br />must be located in the immediate area of the test pits unless otherwise autho- <br />rized by this office. A new site evaluation may be required if the system is <br />proposed for a different area on the property. <br /> <br />SPECIAL CONDITIONS: <br /> An easement will be required for the outfall pipe of the tile dewatering <br /> system.
