<br /> Ultra K17(1Y7103).Sprinklers with a 286°F(141°C)temperature rating must be installed in double interlock preaction systems
<br /> or dry systems for the protection of high piled storage occupancies including single,double,and multiple-row rack storage,
<br /> as well as palletized and solid piled storage,of up to Class Ill commodities as defined by NFPA 13(no open top containers).
<br /> For ceiling only protection(no in-rack sprinklers),the installation criteria is as follows:
<br /> • a minimum deflector to top of storage clearance of 36 inches(0,9 m)
<br /> • a maximum coverage area of 100 ft2(9,3 m2)per sprinkler
<br /> • a minimum coverage area of 80 ft2(7,3 m2)per sprinkler
<br /> • sprinkler spacing criteria:
<br /> 12 feet(3,6 m)maximum for unobstructed and non-combustible obstructed construction
<br /> 10 feet(3,0 m)maximum for combustible obstructed construction
<br /> 8 feet(2,4 m)minimum for all construction
<br /> • water supply duration-90 minutes minimum
