Any efforts to highly insulate the envelope
of the shop are counteracted by the practical functioning of the space.
2.The shop addition connects to the existing shop with a 4'-0"wide x T-0"high framed opening. The two thermal environments are
connected and the existing shop envelope does not meet the current energy code insulation requirements.
The use of recycled waste oil fuel, sourced on-site,is a responsible and effective way to mitigate the energy inefficiencies Involved
with a the building envelope of a service shop.
. . .. .
LIST SUI3STANTIATINQ EVIDENCE(REPORTS,:STUDIES,ETC)=ATTACH COPIES OF DOCUMENTATION
I hereby request approval to use an alternate material(s)and/or method(s)from that required by code as described above.
Signed: Erin Upham Date: 7/9/2020
OFFICE USE ONLY ,-yam
it proved Itex ✓ (IA bU\ s is& F•= ssA2U
Approved with conditions ft\ i1Y C IX \lSrE C 'TAn\x t 14 041 1•4
❑ Denied r
/ `Stil vtl
• t
Signed: Date: ' -79- Zo'zO
G:\FORMS\BLDG\13-l]Altemate Material or Method Request doe
