SAND FILTER SYSTEM ~0NSTI~UCTION DETA~LSHEET November 27, 1992 APPLIC~NT= HARRY TBERRIEN 92-3624 site has been found suitable for a SAND FILTER ~TERNATIVE SEWAG~ SYS~M. The ~ollowing construction specificatioss shall ~pply to the installation of your septic system, The septic tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity Qf 1000 gallons. The projected daily sewag~ flow for this project is calculated at 450 q~.~lon~ ~er day. Fased on soil conditions observed on this site, the disposal field will be sized at 45 lineal feet D~ 150 qallons Of pfojeete~ daily sewage flow. A minimum of 135 line~k f~et of disposal field will be required for yOu~ proposed d~velop- ment, 9he disposal trenches are eonptructed two (2) feet wid~ and on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with no line exceeding 125 feet in length. The trenches an~ perforated pipe are installed level (~1") and oontoured to follow the natural ground surface. The disposal fiel~ shall be constructed with e~ua~.._dist~ibution with a minimum trench depth of 12 inch~, and a maximum trench depth of 12 inche~. There must be at least 16 inche~ of backfill The sand filter ~ystem shall be designad and opera,ed as per OAR 340-71~290 through 340-71-305. Detaile~ p~ans for the system ~ust be ~ubmitted p=i0r to p~rmlt issuance. A building permit is requi~ed if a ~ite built 0snorers box is used as =he sand filter container. A p~unphlet is available in our office which details the requirements for a sand fi~te~ ~ystem. A capping fill is required with this ~ystem. The syste~ shall be constructed as indica=ed on the attached ~apping Fill construction detail sheet. An effluent lift pump may be necessary to con,trust the disposal field in the approved area and at th~ correct d~p~h. This approval is mite specific Co the area tested and the septic system must be located in the iaauediate area of ~he test pits unless o=herwise autho- rized by this office. A new sit~ evaluatio~ ~ay be required if the system is proposed for a different area on the property, SPECI~J~ CONDITIONS: Th~ drainfields must be constructed within the i~ediate area Of the westerly test pit. The sa~d filter may need to be elevated to achieve gravity flow to ~he shallow drainfield l£~e~, Observe all normal set- back/separation distances.
