Based on the results of this study, site approval was granted. The approval is site specific to the area tested, and the septic system must be located in the immediate area of the test pits, unless otherwise authorized by th~s office. A new site evaluation may be required if the system ~s proposed for a different area on the property. This approval was given on the basis that the lot or parcel will not be further partitioned or subdivided and that conditions on this property and on adjacent properties are not altered in any manner which would prohibit the issuance of a permit, Soils in the approved area shall not be altered by cutting, filling, or other developmental activities which would impede the successful operation of the initial or replacement absorption systems. Failure to comply with the above items may void this approval. The site evaluation approval runs with the land. but the permit is non-transferable and non- refundable. Keep this document with your records. Show this permit to the septic installer prior to installation of the system. Any deviation from the approved plan must have prior approval from this office. MINIMUM; 24INCHES, MAXIMUM TOTAL DRAIN MEDIA DEPTH: 12INCHES DRAIN MEDIA UNDER PIPE: 6I~CHES MINIMUM SOIL BACKFILL: 12INCHES GROUND WATER INTERCEPTOR: Y The disposal trenches are constructed tw~ (2) feet wide and on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with no line exceeding 125 feet in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed level (+/- one inch) and contoured to follow the natural ground surface, TYPE OF FUTURE REPLACEMENT SYSTEM: SAND FILTER COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS 1. Other activities such as logging, excavating or filling, driveway placement or any similar activities may also damage the soil in the area and adversely affect the septic system approval, The areas of the initial septic system and the future repair system must both be protected, 3. SAND FILTER systems are installed in soils where a layer that limits the effective soil depth, or a water table is present in the soil profile at a depth much shallower than allowed for a standard system, The sand filter unit pre-treats the septic tank effluent before it is discharged into the ground. The drainfield following the sand filter is installed at a very shallow depth and generally includes a capping fill drainfield. See the attached "Sand Filter System Requirements for Plans". Two sets of plans for the system must be submitted at the time of application for the installation permit.
