Other activities such as logging, excavating or filling, driveway placement or any similar activities may also damage the soil in the area and adversely affect the septic system approval, The areas of the initial septic system and the future repair system must both be protected. An EFFLUENT LIFT PUMP MAY BE REQUIRED to install the septic system disposal field in the approved area and at the required depth. Detailed instructions for dosing tank / effluent ~ump installations are available in our office, The electricalwiring to the pump and alarm must be installed in accordance with the appropriate Electrical Code. The elec- trical work must be done under a Marion County Electrical Permit and must be inspected and approved by a Marion County Electrical Inspector, The work must be left uncovered and accessible for inspection,The electrical inspection includes the connections to the pump and alarm in the dosing tank,the wiring in the trench and the connections in the structure. EFFLUENT SEWER: The effluent sewer is the pibe running from the septic tank to the disposal field. The effluent sewer shall extend at least five (5) feet from the tank, There must be a minimum difference of eight (8) inches between the invert (flow line) of the septic tank outlet and the invert of the distribution or drop box outlet. In Equal Distribu- tion, there must be six (6) inches of fall between the septic tank outlet and the distribution box inlet. In Serial Distribution. there must be two (2) inches of fall between the septic tank outlet and the drop box inlet, THIS SYSTEM MUST BE INSPECTED AMD APPROVED PRIOR TO BACKFILL When work is complete and ready for inspection, call our Automated Ins@ection Request line at 272-4427 to request an inspection, Enter the number "801" for a PRE-COVER inspec- tion. You may leave a message for the inspector if desired. Be sure the System Record form with the As-Built drawing is on the job or in our office when the inspection is requested An inspection should be completed within seven (7) days.
