RURAL AREA CONSIDERATION <br /> <br /> FF~ .~ ~ <br /> MARION COUN <br />BUILOIN,, .-- TY <br /> ,,o .VSPECTIOiV <br /> <br />The State of Oregon Department of Environmental Quality and the Marion County Board of <br />Commissioners have a Memorandum of Agreement which allows the county to issue Rural Area <br />Consideration permits for the installation of On-Site Sewage Systems. If your property is not <br />acceptable for the installation of a standard on-site sewage system under the current regulations, it <br />may be possible to qualify for a permit under the Rural Area Consideration rules. <br /> <br />The folio_wing is a general list ~of requirements:_- <br /> <br />1. The parcel must be at least ten (I0) acres and be a single tax lot. <br /> <br />The parcel must be in an area with a zoning designation listed below: <br /> <br />Acreage Residential <br />Exclusive Farm Use <br />Spedal Agriculture <br />Timber Conservation <br />Farm/Timber <br />Rural Industrial <br />Interchange District <br /> <br />The application must be for an on-site system designed to serve a single family dwelling, <br />or a commercial facility with an equivalent or less sewage flow.
