The angle between the purlin brace and a horizontal plane <br />shall be not less than 45 degrees. The lower end of the purlin brace <br />shall be supported by a load bearing wall. (R-701.1) <br /> <br />R-38 insulation requires a minimum of 12" depth to retain a R-value of <br />R-38. If high density insulation is used, 10" depth is required or as <br />required by the insulation manufacturer. <br /> <br />Approval as a result of this plan review or an inspection shall not be <br />construed to be an approval of a violation of the provisions of the dwelling <br />code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction.
