THIS PLAN REVIEW was completed by W.JACKSON ON 10/12/1999. <br /> This plan was reviewed under the 1996 Edition of the State <br /> of Oregon One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code. <br /> 2. Approval of submitted plans is not an approval of omissions <br /> or oversights by this office or of noncompliance with any <br /> applicable regulations of local government, <br /> 4. TRUSS DESIGN. Roof trusses are required to be be designed by <br /> an Oregon registered Engineer or Architect, For trusses <br /> manufactured by an approved fabrication plant, have the <br /> design and layout drawings available at the construction <br /> site for the framing inspection, All jobsite cutting or <br /> modifications of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in <br /> the engineer's design calculations and drawings, <br /> 5. ATTIC VENTS. Provide screened attic vents with a net free <br /> area of 1/150 of the attic area (or 1/300 if between 50 of <br /> 80 percent of required area is ventilators in the upper <br /> portion of the attic and located at least 3 feet above eave <br /> or cornice vents). As an alternative, install a ] mil vapor <br /> barrier on the warm side of the ceiling. [Sec, 806.2] <br /> 6. SAFETY GLAZING / LARGE PANE. The following shall be con- <br /> sidered a specific hazardous location for the purposes of <br /> glazing. Glazing in an individual fixed or operable pane <br /> that meets all of the following conditions: <br /> 1. Exposed area of an individual pane greater than 9 sq, ft <br /> 2. Bottom edge less than 18 inches above the floor, <br /> 3, Top edge greater than 36 inches above the floor. <br /> 7, SAFETY GLAZING / LARGE PANE.(Continued, see above condition) <br /> 4, One or more walking surfaces within 36 inches horizon- <br /> tally of the glazing, Exception: In lieu of safety glazing <br /> this specific glazed panel may be protected with a pro- <br /> tective bar installed on the accessble side(s) of the <br /> glazing 36 inches (plus or minus 2 inches) above the floor. <br /> The bar shall be capable of withstanding a horizontal load <br /> of 50 pounds per linear foot without contacting the glass <br /> and be a minimum of i 1/2 inches in height. <br /> 8. STAIRWAYS shall not be less than 36 inches in clear width at <br /> all points between the handrail height and the required <br /> minimum headroom of 6 feet 8 inches. Minimum width from the <br /> handrail down is 32 inches with one handrail, 28 inches with <br /> two. The minimum required stair tread width is 9 inches. <br /> The maximum stair rise is 8 inches, When risers are closed, <br /> all treads less than 10 inches shall have a uniform nosing <br /> betweem 3/4 inches and I 1/4 inches. The greatest riser <br /> height/tread depth shall not exced th smallest by more than <br /> 3/8 inch. [Sec, 314.1; 314.2: 314,2.1; 214.2] <br /> 9. EVERY SLEEPING ROOM shall have at least one openable window <br /> or exterior door approved for emergency egress or rescue. <br /> The window sill height shall not be more than 44 inches <br /> above the floor, The minimum net clear opening is 5.7 square <br /> feet~ The minimum net clear opening height shall be 22 <br /> inches.
