Roof trusses are required to be be designed by an Oregon registered Engineer or Architect, For trusses manufactured by an approved fabrication plant, have the design and layout drawings available at the construction site for the framing inspection, All jobsite cutting or modifications of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in the engineer's design calculations and drawings, 5. ATTIC VENTS. Provide screened attic vents with a net free area of 1/150 of the attic area (or 1/300 if between 50 of 80 percent of required area is ventilators in the upper portion of the attic and located at least 3 feet above eave or cornice vents). As an alternative, install a ] mil vapor barrier on the warm side of the ceiling. [Sec, 806.2] 6. SAFETY GLAZING / LARGE PANE. The following shall be con- sidered a specific hazardous location for the purposes of glazing. Glazing in an individual fixed or operable pane that meets all of the following conditions: 1. Exposed area of an individual pane greater than 9 sq, ft 2. Bottom edge less than 18 inches above the floor, 3, Top edge greater than 36 inches above the floor. 7, SAFETY GLAZING / LARGE PANE.(Continued, see above condition) 4, One or more walking surfaces within 36 inches horizon- tally of the glazing, Exception: In lieu of safety glazing this specific glazed panel may be protected with a pro- tective bar installed on the accessble side(s) of the glazing 36 inches (plus or minus 2 inches) above the floor. The maximum stair rise is 8 inches, When risers are closed, all treads less than 10 inches shall have a uniform nosing betweem 3/4 inches and I 1/4 inches. EVERY SLEEPING ROOM shall have at least one openable window or exterior door approved for emergency egress or rescue. The window sill height shall not be more than 44 inches above the floor, The minimum net clear opening is 5.7 square feet~ The minimum net clear opening height shall be 22 inches. The minimum net clear opening width shall be 20 inches, Exception: Grade floor windows may have a minimum net clear opening of 5 square feet..[Sec, 310.2, 310.2.1] 10, SMOKE DETECTORS shall be installed in each sleeping room, outside of each separate sleeping area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms and on each additional story of the
