Where the separation is a floor- <br />ceiling assembly, the structure supporting the separation <br />shall be protected by 1/2 inch gypsum board or equivalent. <br />The door between the garage and residence shall be equipped <br />with solid wood doors not less than i 3/8 inches in thick- <br />ness or 20-minute fire-rated, or equivalent. <br />[Sec, 309.1, 209.2] <br />GARAGE/CARPORT FLOOR. That area of floor used for the <br />parking of automobiles or other vehicles shall be sloped to <br />facilitate the movement of liquids to a drain or toward the <br />main vehicle entry doorway. [Sec. 309~3] <br />BEAMS HAVE BEEN ADDED AND SOME SIZES CHANGED, FLOOR JOIST S <br />PACING HAS ALSO BEEN CHANGED, THIS IS JUST ONE SOLUTION.
