Other <br />activities such as logging, excavating or filling, driveway <br />placement or any similar activities may also damage the soil <br />in the area and adversely affect the septic system approval, <br />The areas of the initial septic system and the future repair <br />system must both be protected. <br />THIS SYSTEM MUST BE INSPECTED AND APPROVED PRIOR TO BACKFILL <br />When work is complete and ready for inspection, call our <br />Automated Inspection Request line at 373-4427 to request an <br />inspection. Enter the number "801" for a PRE-COVER inspec- <br />tion. You may leave a message for the inspector if desired. <br />Be sure the System Record form with the As-Built drawing is <br />on the job or in our office when the inspection is requested <br />An inspection should be completed within seven (7) days. <br />An EFFLUENT LIFT PUMP WILL BE REQUIRED to install the septic <br />system disposal field in the approved area and at the <br />required depth. Detailed instructions for dosing tank / <br />effluent pump installations are available in our office. The <br />electrical wiring to the pump and alarm must be installed in <br />accordance with the appropriate Electrical Code, The elec- <br />trical work must be done under a Marion County Electrical <br />Permit and must be inspected and approved by a Marion County <br />Electrical Inspector. The work must be left uncovered and <br />accessible for inspection.The electrical inspection includes <br />the connections to the pump and alarm in the dosing tank,the <br />wiring in the trench and the connections in the structure. <br />A CURTAIN DPJ~IN IS REQUIRED as part of this system, The <br />curtain drain trench must be constructed a mimimum twelve <br />(12) inches wide by 42" inches deep with 36" inches <br />of clean gravel placed over a four (4) inch. smooth wall, <br />perforated pipe. The curtain drain must be located at least <br />ten (10) feet upslope from the disposal field and must <br />discharge through a watertight non-perforated pipe beside or <br />below the disposal field. A minimum separation of ten (10) <br />feet is required from the septic tank if the tank is located <br />upslope of the curtain drain and five (5) feet if the tank <br />is located downslope of the curtian drain. <br />A DETAILED SEPTIC SYSTEM STAKEOUT IS REQUIRED prior to the <br />issuance of a septic system installation permit, The area <br />for the system is very limited and the stakeout must be com- <br />pleted to determine that the system will fit within the area <br />of the approved test pits, A scale-drawn, detailed site <br />plan must be submitted with the application for the install- <br />ation permit. The stakeout must be inspected on the property <br />and approved before the permit can be issued, Instructons <br />for the stakeout are attached and are available in our <br />office. <br /> <br /> <br />
