CALL BEFORE YOU DIG .... IT'S THE LAW. <br /> A~ENTION: Oregon law requires you to follow rules adopted <br /> by the Oregon Utility Notification Center. Those rules are <br /> set forth in OAR 952-00t-0010 through OAR 952-001-0090. You <br /> may obtain copies of the rules by calling the center. <br /> (Note: The telephone number for the Oregon Utility Notifica- <br /> tion Center is (502) 222-1987). <br />2. THIS PLAN REVIEW was completed by W.JACKSON ON t0/2B/1999. <br /> This plan was reviewed under the 1996 Edition of the State <br /> of Oregon One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code. <br />3. Approval of submitted plans is not an approval of omissions <br /> or oversights by this office or of noncompliance with any <br /> applicable regulations of local government. <br />4. TRUSS DESIGN. Roof trusses are required to be be designed by <br /> an Oregon registered Engineer or Architect. For trusses <br /> manufactured by an approved fabrication plant, have the <br /> design and layout drawings available at the construction <br /> site for the framing inspection. All jobsite cutting or <br /> modifications of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in <br /> the engineer's design calculations and drawings. <br />5. A~IC VENTS. Provide screened attic vents with a net free <br /> area of 1/150 of the attic area (or 1/200 if between 50 of <br /> 80 percent of required area is ventilators in the upper <br /> portion of the attic and located at least 3 feet above eave <br /> or cornice vents). As an alternative, install a 1 mil vapor <br /> barrier on the warm side of the ceiling. [Sec. 806.2] <br />6. GLAZING REQUIREMENTS. All habitalbe rooms shall be pro- <br /> vided with aggregate glazing area of not less than 10 per- <br /> cent of the floor area of such rooms, One-half of the <br /> required area of glaing shall be openable. When openable <br /> glazing is not required by Section 310. the glazed areas <br /> need not be openable when an approved mechanical ventilation <br /> system and artificial lighting is provided. [Sec. 302.1] <br />7. BATHROOM LIGHT / VENT. Bathrooms. water closet co,~)artments <br /> and other similar rooms shall be provided with a window of <br /> not less than 3 square feet. one half of which must be <br /> openable, or artificial light and an approved mechanical <br /> ventilation system capable of producing a change of air <br /> every 12 minutes. [Sec. 203.3] <br />8. SAFETY GLAZING / LARGE PANE. The following shall be con- <br /> sidered a specific hazardous location for the purposes of <br /> glazing. Glazing in an individual fixed or operable pane <br /> that meets all of the following conditions: <br /> 1. Exposed area of an individual pane greater than 9 sq. ft <br /> 2. Bottom edge less than 18 inches above the floor. <br /> 3. Top edge greater than 36 inches above the floor. <br />9. SAFETY GLAZING / LARGE PANE.(Continued, see above condition) <br /> 4. One or more walking surfaces within 36 inches horizon- <br /> tally of the glazing. Exception: In lieu of safety glazing <br /> this specific glazed panel may be protected with a pro- <br /> tective bar installed on the accessble side(s) of the <br /> glazing 36 inches (plus or minus 2 inches) above the floor, <br /> The bar shall be capable of withstanding a horizontal load <br /> of 50 bounds per linear foot without contacting the glass <br /> and be a minimum of 1 1/2 inches in height. <br /> EVERY SLEEPING ROOM shall have at least one openable window <br /> or exterior door approved for emergency egress or rescue. <br /> The window sill height shall not be more than 44 inches <br /> above the floor. The minimum net clear opening is 5.7 square <br /> feet. The minimum net clear opening height shall be 22 <br /> inches. The minimum net clear opening width shall be 20 <br /> inches. Exception: Grade floor windows may have a minimum <br /> net clear opening of 5 square feet. [Sec. 210.2. 310.2.1] <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br /> <br />
