Minimum width from the <br />handrail down is 32 inches with one handrail, 28 inches with <br />two. The minimum required stair tread width is 9 inches. <br />The maximum stair rise is 8 inches. When risers are closed, <br />all treads less than 10 inches shall have a uniform nosing <br />betweem 3/4 inches and 1 1/4 inches.
