Roy <br />Jane Ellen Stonecipher <br /> RE: Courthouse Square <br /> Interim Agreement for Architectural Services <br />Marion Count~ <br />OREGON <br />OFFICE OF LEGAL COUNSEL <br />I understand that the Special Projects Oversight Committee has asked about <br />the expiration date and consequences of expiration of the interim agreement for <br />architectural services. <br />This agreement daes not have an expiration date. The agreement anticipates <br />that the interim agreement will end, and a final contract for architectural services will <br />be entered when the GMP is final. The contract acknowledges that the GMP will be <br />based on incomplete construction documents. The interim agreement identifies the <br />scope of services which anticipates preparation of sufficient documents to allow <br />preparation of a GMP by the general contractor. The maximum price for these <br />services, based an the hourly rates quoted by the architect, is $687,500, plus <br />reasonable expenses. <br />This agreement can be terminated at any time by the owners upon written <br />notice.
