Option 2 added the Franklin
Building departments and increased the needed square footage to 75,615
nsf.
Option 3 evolved from discussions with the District Attomey when it was
determined that consolidation of all District Attomey functions could vastly
improve efficiency and service delivery. Again, greater occupancy of the
building by ta~~-exempt county offices would also reduce the interest rate
on bonds. Tlus option increased the county's estimated space needs to
87,837 nsf. It also assumes that the expansion space will be
occupied within 10 yeazs of initial occupancy (2010). It also assutnes that the Franklin
Building will be available for long-term expansion space for at least the ne~rt 20 yeazs.
