Solid Waste Department Rent Pre pavment Billy Wasson said the issue of Solid Waste Department pre-paying their rent up front is still to be discussed at the policy level. The projected cost will be ready by the end of the week. Pre-payment of the rent will lower the amount of financed funding. Mr. Vessello said he wants to move ahead with the project. Joint MeetinQ R.G. Andersen-Wyckoff noted the recommendation will be reviewed by both the Transit District Board of Directors and Marion County Commissioners at a joint meeting on September 2, 1998 at 10:00 am. David Cameron asked if the Boards need an actual letter from the CAC Committee. R.G. Andersen-Wyckoff noted it can be done in the form of a motion that includes any caveats from the Committee. Maynard Hammer said he wants to review the working documents as the project proceeds. Leonard Lodder noted the construction documents will take about sixteen weeks and should be ready about mid-December. There will be occasions to review the documents at the mechanical/engineering stage, or 35% of the way through. CARL BEACH MOVED THAT, BASED ON THE BUDGET ESTIMATES, WE PROCEED TO THE NEXT PHASE OF APPROVAL BY BOTH BOARDS AND PROCEED TO THE BIDDING OF THE PROJECT WITH THE FIRST ALTERNATE. MAYNARD HAMMER SECONDED. David Cameron asked if the second alternative was out of the picture. Billy Wasson noted staff will bring that back as a separate agenda item. Maynard Hammer said he wants to make sure CAC has a chance to review the issues before moving to the next step. Issues: Parking, Gas, Recycled Materials. Maynard Hammer noted there will be other issues come up in the working drawings such as open land scape and office configuration that CAC should review. Motion carried unanimously. Billy Wasson noted the minutes of this meeting will be presented at the joint Board meeting on September 2, 1998. The ne~ct joint meeting with CAC and JCT will be September 17 at noon. The meeting adjourned at 1:50 pm.
