From: Billy Wasson <br />To: pmilne, mryan, rfranke <br />Date: 4/14/99 12:llpm <br />- Subject: Update <br />The sewer line installation on Chemeketa St. has passed the City pressure test <br />and will be inspected with the camera that they put thru the line today. <br />Yesterday afternoon the contractor uncovered another under ground storage tank <br />and the South side of the site. It is partially in the right of way has about <br />10 inches of undetermined liquid in the bottom and is about 6' x 15' in size. <br />The dewatering tanks and pumps are in place and working. The first test of the <br />water showed a very low level of diesel in the water and the spurging/carbon <br />filter system is expected to remove it to acceptable levels. <br />Later today we will meet with the Geotech engineer and contractor to examine <br />what the contractor believes to be some soil at the grade level that appears <br />will not withstand the footings. The Geotech engineer will call the item and <br />the solution would be to over excavate and back fill with suitable material.
