A plan to eliminate racism at the work place.
* Example of policies: Maintain a fair and productive working environment, free of
harassment Offenders are subject to disciplinary action.
* Some programs have formed their own Diversiry Committee; each with an agenda
to pursue.
Inputs:
* Number of diverse staff and volunteers working with the program.
* Hiring and retention focus with the same devotion.
* Statistics, up-to-date information on clients served which reflects the communiry
make-up.
Change Technology:
* Many of the programs have provided opportunities for the staf~ and volunteers to
participate in Vainings and conferences, i.e. Diversity in the 90's Conference,
Treating the Urban African-American Clientele, Children and ~olence Conference,
CYSC ~iversit~r Trainings, etc.
* Some programs have allocated resources to maintain up-to-date information about
multicultural issues, collection of multicultural videos for training, subscription to a
multicultural magazine, etc.
