~ Marion County Facilities Master Plan <br />~ Generally, the HVAC and plumbing systems appear to be in good operation. <br />r The condition of domestic water piping is unknown. <br />I ~ <br />~ ELECTRICAL <br />~ <br />L~ The electrical service and distribution equipment for this building is located <br />in a basement room at the southwest comer of the building. <br />~~ The service is rated 1200A, 480Y/277V. Installation of the existing <br />equipment occurred in 1974. The 480Y/277V system serves ihe HVAC <br />~ system, elevators and fluorescent Gghting. A 300KVA dry type transformer <br />creates a 208Y/]20V distribution system for receptacle, appliance and <br />~ incandescent lighting loads. The electrical equipment room is not properly <br />L~ ventilated and the heat rejected to ambient &om the transformer causes the <br />room temperature to rise to undesirable levels. <br />I The branch circuit panelboards for 480Y/277V and 208Y/120V systems are <br />~ located in vertically stacked mechanical rooms on each floor. <br />~ The typical lighting throughout of6ces is recessed fluorescent lensed <br />~ Inm;na;rrc. Corridor lighting is provided by incandescent R lamp downlights. <br />I_ Telephone and data distribution throughout this building is provided by <br />j terminal boards locaCed in vertically stacked closets accessed &om the <br />comdor. <br />~~ The computer room is located on the fifth floor. A fiber optic cable <br />terminator is located within the computer room. This room serves as the <br />'_ ~ distribution hub for data cabling. <br />L The fire alarm control panel is located in the basement electrical room. The <br />~ Simplex fire alazm control panel monitors fire sprinkler flow switch for <br />basement fire sprinkling system and smoke / ionization detectors throughout. <br />L The alarm signaling devices do not comply with current requirements for <br />1 hearing impaired visual signals. <br />1 <br />~' <br />L Page 79 <br />~ <br />^ <br />
