Andersen Wyckoff, Gary Heer, Bill <br />Meier, Greg West, Bonny Henny, Dale Penn, Ann Gavin-Sample, Larry <br />Oglesby, Sue Crothers ' <br />MINUTES: Starr Garland noted that on page five of the minutes of July 22, under the <br />Work Center heading, the figure of housing should be 79 rather than 60. <br />A second correction was noted on page one under the heading <br />"Juvenile". It was recommended that the first word, "Homeforth" be <br />eliminated and the first sentence simpiy begin with the word, "The". <br />With these changes, the minutes stood approved. <br />EXECUTIVE SUMMARY OF FACILITIES MASTER PLAN: <br />Ken Sherman stated the building reviews had been completed. Randy <br />Curtis added that the purpose of the Summary was to provide an <br />overview of the study. He is presuming that each subcommittee will look <br />at their portion of the study and suggest changes or make <br />recommendations. <br />Ken Sherman mentioned that one concern he had in the compilation was <br />the approach taken and the apparent question, "What are you going to <br />need?" At a time when size means power, there appears to be no <br />constraints on the openness of that question. <br />= Lydia Buchanan thought that Exhibit 3 was the wish list and Exhibit 5, the <br />population expeoted for the basis of need. <br />Ken Sherman noted the wide divergence of projected growth, from 25% <br />up to 250%. <br />Randy Curtis stated he was not sure he is in a position before this <br />committee to say that the numbers are entirely accurate. Caseloads in <br />the courts have shown a phenomenal growth in the last ten years, for <br /> <br />
