Goals and Obiectives <br />To Develop a Plan for a facility that will provide the most efficient and cost effective Dog Control <br />Service to the Public <br />2. Current Problems <br />Offrce Space Inadequate in Size Current Footage is: 1000 Square Footage <br />Office currently lacks storage space for tags, envelopes, etc. <br />Office currently does not allow a meeting room for public citations or concerns, or personnel <br />discussions <br />Health Departmentwould like to take over the space currendy used by Marion County Dog Control <br />Ctiemical & Trap Storage facilities - currently renting 400 Sq. Ft of storage space away from office <br />site <br />Truck Storage and Washing facilities, vehicles with personnel and concerns with sewage disposal of <br />waste <br />10 County Vehicles and 9 Staff Vehicles (May 5, meeting) <br />Unable to use Staff and Field Officer time wisely due to Office & Kennel space being miles apart <br />Kennel costs have increased in the past Sve years (See Attached Exhibit &ab) <br />Lack of facilities to work with the public at the Humane Society <br />Lack of Security when unloading animals <br />Public currently can end up going both to the Humane Society and Dog Control before paying fines, <br />licensing or getting their lost dog <br />Current expansion at the Humane Society is not addressing County Dog Control Office needs or <br />the consideration of working with the public <br />3.
