From: ANN GAVIN SAMPLE (AGAVINSAMPLE)
To: RCURTIS
Date: Friday, February 17, 1995 2:16 pm
Subject: Facilities Planning
Randy,
I don't have a great deal to add to the minutes of our joint
discussions. I would reitera~e that the city probably would not
look kindly at the expansion of beds at a new JDH facility,
practicalities not withstanding. We are already maxed out around
here.
I urge the committee to put as a highest priority the
tri-agency facility. It should be at the head of the justice
issues, not the tail.
With any new facility located in the downtown core, I would
urge that the county do a Transportation Demand Management Plan.
We simply cannot just keep multiplying cars and have a viable
core left.
I will probably not be able to attend the next meeting of
the committee. I have just accepted a job offer where in I will
have to manage flex time very carefully so as to keep my council
path open. I'm assuming this next session will be a final wrap
down.
Please keep me in the loop as far as information is
concerned.
Ann
CC: LWACKER
