of the subcommittees essentially equal representation from the private sector and from county <br />staff, and this arrangement proved to be very workable and productive. <br />The steering committee has been greatly assisted in its work by Randy Curtis, Bob <br />McCune and Tracy Lulay of the county General Services Department, who have provided staff <br />work of the highest quality on an on-going basis throughout the 10 months of the committee's <br />existence. In addition, dozens of employees from each county department and agency have <br />participated in and contributed much to the committee's work. <br />This report contains separate Findings and Recommendations with respect to each of the <br />seven subcommittee reports which were submitted to the steering committee. In addition, the <br />Public Works Department, which is now housed in the Senator Building and was initially grouped <br />with the Downtown Facilities, proposes to consolidate most public works operations to the Public <br />Works-Roads site on Silverton Road.
