SALEM COURTHOUSE SQUARE INC. <br />DEMOLITION <br />1997 <br />1.1 CONTRACTOR USE OF THE SITE <br />SECTION 01043 <br />PROJECT COORDINATION <br />PAGE 1 OF 1 <br />A. Public areas at the project site may remain occupied by the Owner and the public in connection with the <br />Owner's ordinary operations. The Contractor shall at all times perform the work so as to cause the <br />least inconvenience possible to the Owner, the public, and other contractors. <br />B. The Contractor shall minimize the amount of space used for storage of materials and debris in <br />connection with the work and shall at all times maintain the work area in a neat and orderly manner. <br />The Contractor shall coardinate his use of the project site and its space requirements with the Owner's <br />Representative. The Contractor shall limit the use of the premises for work and storage, and <br />coordinate his activities with other contractors working in the area. <br />C. The Contractor assumes full responsibility for the protection and safekeeping of his materials and <br />equipment used and stored on the project site. The Contractor shall protect all e~sting objects and <br />finishes from damage during the abatement. In the event of damage to e~sting building equipment, <br />the Contractor will notify the Owner's Representative immediately, and the damage will be repaired at <br />the Contractor's expense. <br />D. Designate bathroom facilities for workers will be provided by the Abatement contractor. <br />1.2 PROJECT MEETING5 <br />The contractor may be required to attend project coordination meetings during the project as scheduled by <br />the Owner or his representative. <br />1.3 PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING <br />The Contractor shall attend a pre-construction meeting to present his work plan and project schedule and <br />discuss matters specific to the project. <br />A. Agenda: <br />1. Distribute and discuss tentative Asbestos Removal and Demolition schedule. <br />2. Discuss processing of field decisions, Demolition Change authorizations, and Change Orders. <br />3. Discuss Procedure for maintaining Project Record Documents. <br />4. Discuss use of premises, including site, existing building, storage areas, and security. <br />5. Discuss deliveries, safety, parking, housekeeping. <br />END OF SECTION <br />
