From: JAMES SEARS
To: GWM2.M-EDISON(RCURTIS)
Date: 3/17/97 2:43pm
Subjact: Demolition and abatement -Reply
Randy
Yes the $5 per cubic yard is for all materials that are disposed including
asbestos. The asbestos will have to be in doubled yellow bags and
hand unloaded. Your contractor should be familiar as they have to be
certified.
If I can get an agreement to process concrete I would rebate back to
your project what ever the difference is between the $5 and cost if any
to process the concrete into aggregate for recycling. No word on this
yet.
As far as longer hours I am open to working with you. During the
summer we are open on Saturdays, so that is not a problem. As far as
Sunday and after hours, if we are receiving enough volume then the
extra overtime can be covered but if we are talking about few trucks
then we cannot cover our cost. So I would say I need more info. on the
proposed times and number of vehicles.
Bottom line I will make it work!
Have you heard anything on the contaminate soil processinq? I need to
know pretty soon so we can get the letter of authorization going from
DEQ.
Jim
