John Brown
470 Miller Street
Salem, OR
Mr. Brown believes this is a very beneficial
project for the community.
Commissioner Pea~mine said all three
commissioners have been part of this process for
a long time. She was Chair the year Transit
asked the County if fihis could be a joint project.
She already knew the County's resources were
going to come from our facility costs. The
process and discussion from three years ago may
have never become public knowledge when the
commitments were made. She did not want
people to get the impression this had not been a
part of the County discussion on an ongoing
basis.
Marcia Kelly said questions have been raised
about a merit award that the Transit District had
given to R.G. Anderson-Wyckoffi, Transit's legal
counsel said the merit award, in lieu of a cost of
living adjustment, is considered part of sa(ary and
would not be an additional bonus or
reimbursement.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business before the Board,
Chair Franke declared adjournment.
PUBLIC HEARING, 12/4/97, PAGE 8
r.r+~
58
