What would you like to see the District accomplish in <br />relation to transportation services for elderly or disabled persons in our area? <br />I have been intres~ed in the operation nf Ch~'rriots since I <br />beca~e a full-time rider January 1994 when I decided to no longerown <br />an automobile as all my miles are single passen~er miles, and there <br />was acceptable public transportation, especially from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. <br />I would like to see efforts being made toward commuter bus service <br />to other communities in Marion Countv. Perhans have Park-N-R~de <br />lots in the various-cc~amaai±ies. This would enc~urage more people <br />to ride Cherriots than having park-n-ride lots a'~ the edge of Salem: <br />It would also provide transportation fcr those people who do not <br />have a car for whatever reason, not just because they are elderly <br />or disabled, ~~Lmaybe because they cann~ot afford one. This service <br />does net have to be hourly.~ Commuter hour,s there could be two or <br />three buses/30 minute intervals.
